Assam Amrit Vrikshya Andolan is a massive tree plantation initiative launched by the Government of Assam in 2023. This Andolan has four main objectives:

Plantation of 1 Crore Seedling trees: The main objective of Amrit Vrikshya Andolan is to plant one crore Seedling trees within Assam, which can lead to a significant increase in the greenery of the state.

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): The objective of this initiative is to provide financial assistance to the participants in tree plantation through Direct Benefit Transfer scheme, so as to encourage their active participation in plantation.

Financial grant: On planting one seedling and uploading the geotagged photo on the dedicated portal/app, participants will receive a financial grant of Rs 100 from the government. Additionally, an additional Rs 200 will be provided by the government to support plantation over three years.
