In terms of pricing, Honda’s upcoming bike may become the most affordable option in their 350cc lineup. While it’s anticipated to be priced slightly above Rs 2 lakh, Honda has not yet disclosed the exact pricing details.
Honda Motorcycles And Scooter India (HMSI) is a prominent player in the Indian two-wheeler market, known for offering some of the finest scooters in the country. The automotive giant previously introduced the Honda H’ness CB350 to cater to the growing demand for cruiser motorcycles in India. Now, Honda has released a teaser for a new bike set to launch in India soon. The teaser prominently features the hashtag “CB,” suggesting that this upcoming bike is likely to be a sibling of the H’ness CB350.
Honda New Classic 350cc Launch Date 2023
The teaser unveiled by Honda showcases a new bike with design elements reminiscent of the H’ness, including a split seat configuration and Honda’s signature grab rail. Additionally, the teaser provides a glimpse of the new bike’s front disc brake equipped with a Nissin Caliper and a concealed shock absorber, similar to the Royal Enfield Classic 350. While it’s yet to be confirmed whether the new Honda bike will directly compete with the RE Classic 350, Honda had previously announced their intention to launch a bike based on the same platform as the H’ness CB350 and CB350RS.
According to media reports, the new bike is expected to share the same engine as the H’ness, featuring a 350cc single-cylinder engine generating 21 bhp of power and a peak torque output of 30 Nm. The engine is also likely to be paired with a 5-speed gearbox with taller gearing, and there’s speculation that Honda may fine-tune the engine to deliver slightly more power.
Regarding pricing, the new bike is poised to be Honda’s most cost-effective offering in the 350cc segment. Although it’s estimated to be priced just above Rs 2 lakh, Honda has not provided specific pricing information yet. Currently, the Honda H’ness CB350 is available in four variants: DLX, DLX Pro, Chrome, and Legacy Edition, with prices ranging from Rs 2.10 lakh to Rs 2.16 lakh. The CB350RS, offered in two variants (DLX and New Hue Edition), is priced between Rs 2.15 lakh and Rs 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom). To know more click here
