NSP Pre Matric Scholarship 2023- 24
In view of increasing drop-out rates from students belonging to financially weaker backgrounds, the government has launched this scheme. There are schemes for all the students belonging to different backgrounds. Under the NSP Pre Matric scholarship, children will get financial aid to be able to continue their studies.
This scheme has been able to provide plans from all the ministries and states under a single portal. As far as pre-matric scholarships are concerned, three ministries are providing scholarships the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Ministry of Empowerment of Persons with disabilities.
NSP Pre Matric Scholarship Last Date 2023- 24
Applicants under this scheme must note that there will be no acceptance of applications after the last day of application. The last date to apply for the scholarship is Oct 30, 2023. It is a central scheme and 100% sponsored by the concerned ministries.

NSP Pre Matric Scholarship Amount
The scholarship amount differs depending upon the background, class and from which ministry the student is entitled to receive the scholarship. The students of classes 6 to 10 will get ₹500 as the admission fee every year. Along with this, they will also receive a tuition fee amount of ₹350 every month.
A monthly maintenance allowance will be provided to the students of 1st to 5th standard amounting ₹100. The maintenance allowance for the day scholars of classes 6 to 10 will be ₹100 monthly, while the hostellers will be ₹600 every month.
NSP Pre Matric Scholarship Eligibility 2023- 24
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship have been laid down differently by the respective ministries.
As per the Ministry of Minorities, the applicant must belong to any of the minority communities of India. The beneficiary of the scholarship must be a student of any class between the 1st to 10th standard. The student must have secured a min of 50% in their academic session to avail of the scholarship. The yearly credible amount of BPL family members must not be more than Rs. 100000.
According to the criteria laid down by the Ministry of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, the students studying in either 9th or 10th standard will be eligible. They must have at least 40% disability and should have a certificate of the same. The family of such a student must not be more than 250000 yearly.
For the ward of those working as Beedi, IOMC, Cine, or LSDM workers, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has listed the grounds for eligibility. The parent of the student must have been working for a min of six months. The student must be enrolled in any class from 1 to 10, and the monthly income of the family must not be more than 10k. There is an exception to this: the monthly income of cine workers should not be more than 8k.
