University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test is an eligibility test for the “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor” in universities across India. Those who qualify only in the Assistant Professor exam are not entitled to the JRF award.
UGC NET exam is going to be conducted by the consigned authority, the National Testing Agency, from December 6 to 22, 2023. UGC NET Registration Fee December 2023
The registration fee for the eligible candidates varies as per their category. NTA for the unreserved categories has set Rs 1150 as the application fee. For General-EWS/OBC-NCL, the fee charged is Rs 600, while for the SC/ST/PwD and third-gender category applicants, the application fee is kept at Rs 325.
Candidates should note that there is no offline way to submit the fee; the payment has to be made by opting for any online payment mode.
UGC NET December 2023 Eligibility Conditions
The link to apply online for the post has been activated on the official website of NTA, but before you proceed to fill out the form, you must first check the eligibility requirements for the exam. The very first condition for the aspirants is that they should have completed their post-graduation with above 55% marks (For reserved categories, 50%).
Candidates must select the subjects of the UGC NET exam as per their post-graduation course. If you are applying for the Assistant Professor, there is no minimum or maximum age limit, which means there are no age bars. But if you are filling out the JRF application form, the upper age limit is 30 years. Aspirants belonging to reserved categories will get the age relaxation as per the rules amended by the government.
